The School of Yoga Kalpa Vriksha Satyananda and the Yoga Center Kalpa Vriksha Niranjanananda have been founded by Swami Ishananda Saraswati so to spread the science of Yoga following the system suggested by Paramahamsa Satyananda Saraswati, disciple of Swami Sivananda of Rishikesh.

This system is based on the teachings of the Samkhya, Vedanta and Tantra and is handed down through the tradition of the Sannyasin Saraswati, of the Bihar School of Yoga and of the Bihar Yoga Bharati of Munger, India.

The Bihar Yoga Bharati, Univeristy of Advanced Yoga Studies, was founded in 1994 by Paramahamsa Niranjanananda, successor of Paramahamsa Satyananda, to preserve the yogic science and to integrate research and scientific methodology to spirituality. In the year 2000, the Bihar Yoga Bharati received recognition by the Indian Government and started Courses for Advanced Yoga Studies in Europe, Australia, the United States and South America.
